This one-of-a-kind ring by British jewellery designer Ruby Taglight was inspired by the idea of temporary palaces.
Ancient Indian buildings used to be transformed with textiles, with tent-like structures altering the function of the space, creating areas of celebration, worship, and provided shelter and shade for events. Tipu, the Sultan of Mysore, famously carried a highly decorative tent to war, providing a luxury space for royalty during a battle.
This ring was hand-carved in wax before being cast in 9ct recycled gold, and is signed with a hidden laboratory-grown ruby on the inside.
